About Me

I am an experienced Economist, who practiced in Indian capital markets for 7+ years with a sole goal of linking economics with meaningful investing. I specialize in picking top-down themes for investing.

My views have been extensively covered in mainstream media such as Times of India, Economic Times, Mint, Moneycontrol, Bloomberg Asia TV, etc. I have been the recipient of the ICCE’s ‘Most Influential Young Economist—India’ award and the AIWMI’s ‘Top Women in Finance’ award. I strongly believe that the vast majority of economics books fail to be tailored for the nuances of Indian capital markets. In ‘The Macro Faire’, which is my first book, I aim to use my experience to guide through the key macroeconomic concepts, with a particular emphasis on their relevance to investing. The book stands as #1 best-seller on Amazon.

Travelling and reading are two of my other favourite things but I do believe that for every minute spent I have a personal goal of “consistently learning, constantly evolving”. It is the little things that I derive my deepest learnings from.

I hold the Bachelors and Masters In Economics degree from Lady Shri Ram college and University of Warwick respectively. As a Commonwealth scholar, I take upon myself to be of value to the society and spend my Saturdays mentoring the underprivileged kids.

I’m currently enriching myself through a career break as I pursue MBA at INSEAD. As a Forte fellow here, I’m striving to have more women lead businesses. I’m learning many new skills from money management to effective people management and look forward to making a difference in coming years.
